My a/c control lights went out on the fan speed dial, temp gauge, and the a/c button between the two underneath. I ran into a problem however. One, I don't know the bulb size and two to change the a/c button light a white cover has to come off (see photos). There is a screw underneath a socket for a plug, but it seems almost inaccessible. One last thing is I would like to change the amber over to white or blue. But the dials have an amber film on them it seems. Any ideas?

There are only the two lights that are in the assembly. There is no third bulb. I see in picture # 3 above you already have the two bulbs removed. Take those bulbs to the auto parts store of your choice and get new bulbs.

I could've sworn there was 1 mini light for each button below the dials after I pulled the switches out @Jimmyh

I replaced mine back in December of '15. I had a hard time finding them at a local parts store and had to goto the dealership. They were $23.00 plus tax for two of them. :annoyed:

@TexS4 Dang dude that sucks. I called my local dealer. They want $13 plus tax. However, I called and got a part number! The part number for anyone wondering is 8499910090. It is a 74 neo wedge bulb. I should be able to find something online. You don't know of any ideas to get the film off of the dials do you? :notsure:

@cvisinho You have the LEDS from super bright? Did you get another color other than amber? If so, can you see it clearly?

I have the white. The amber you see is actually a film on the control ring itself. There is no changing that unless you want to take on a pretty lengthy process of cutting, sanding, re-painting.

They are single led's though. Not as much light coverage as I would like.
The ones I just ordered today are 3 smd led's.
I am hoping these spread more light.

@cvisinho There's no way remove that white cover on the backside of the unit and remove the film that way? The single LEDs pretty close to factory brightness?

I got nothing on those. I just assumed they were part of the clear light system in the back.
There are more details in that other thread.

Negative on that one. That's why I was trying to figure out how to remove that screw so I could get to it and see what was up lol

I thought that was just part of the switch itself and not replaceable.

The dials themselves take a 74 neo wedge. I will post a link later to some I ordered. (You need two total for all 3 dials). The a/c and recirculate buttons take a 3V 3mm LED. (Again I will post a link, 2 lights total).
