I just ordered a set of General Spring HDs for my double cab. Truck got into nice accident last week so here's a chance to upgrade.

I hear that the Generals add 1.5" to 2" of lift in the rear but I get mixed reviews about how much they settle over time.

Since I'm changing them, might as well do struts. If it's that much lift, how would a Nitrocharger setup pair? 5100s with what springs? I've searched but can't find anything that I'm looking for.

I just put a set of General HD's on today and now my truck is hanging on the rack with no shocks. Stock shocks need two inches just to fit on the studs, then no play. Hope someone chimes in with what shocks are needed for the HD.s. I really didn't want a lift, just more payload.

Just happened to find this while looking for something, so it's a couple months old, but I have OME 884s with 5100s in the front. That basically maintained factory rake with the General HDs in the back.

I am using 5100s in the back, which are probably just barely okay. I got absurd lift out of the HDs to begin with (somewhere near 3"), but it quickly settled to about 1.75" and has maintained there for a year.
