ok I ve had this issue for a while now, and was wanting to see if anyone else has this issue and if so can it be fixed ? When driving and taking right hand turns my door open light. Comes on and my interior done light pops on, I can also push on the door and have the light on dash come on... Does anyone have a fix for this i.e.: way to pull the doors tighter? It's a 2006 sport access cab I really haven't tried anything yet other than resorting to turning dome off...thanks

If nothing is unusual with your door then it is probably the door switch that is starting to malfunction.

You might need to adjust the latch on either the door itself or the body. There's usually some adjustment in either of these parts and may they may have come loose over the years. Should be a simple fix. Loosen couple bolts, make the adjustment and retighten. Look carefully at the latch components, you might even see the halo of where the bolt was originally.

it's your door switch, probably worn down. apply some epoxy to make it bigger

Stand outside and try to replicate it by pushing the switch in manually with the door open and see if that tells you anything.

I have recently starting having the same issue 06 access cab. Seems to be driver door. Only happens on hard turns it seems and its really annoying because I think the doors gonna swing open lol.

I think like they all said its the switch so until it gets worse I'm cool. Has only happened like 4 times

Many many years ago.....mine did it in the winter for some strange reason.

I can't even remember exactly what I did... Basically, I fiddled with the buttons and I may have taken the rubber boot off of the one switch and the metal case off the other one (access cab).

It hasn't done it since.....in many many years.

Kind of wondering if it's actually a switch issue or if the door needs to be readjusted due to sagging, or misalignment.

the operation and closing of the door has not changed in my case. it seriously seems to happen when im sleepy and leaning on the arm rest turning left. Inertia is involved to get it to happen for me.

Thanks for all the replies, I messed with the button, and think I may have fixed it ? Time will tell, atleast when I go to work and go around a turn I'm not lighting my whole truck up inside now, LOL
