I have a '16 long bed Taco. After installing a Snug Top camper cover, the road noise is amplified in the cabin. I'm considering putting a Bed Rug in the bed to soften the noise. Opinions, anybody?

I'll give that a try. Thanks a lot for the info.

Domo - Another question - did you experience any loss in MPG after the installation?

This is the first I have heard about the road noise increase. I hope others post up their experience with this issue weather a Snug Top or other shell.

My access truck cab rear part was insulated due to 113 db's of cab noise from the cheap poorly designed cab vents. The dealer did what I think is the only fix.
But Toyota told them not to. The noise is horrible and needs a full recall!
Toyota has their head in the sand in denial. 15 other owners that I know have the same complaint and are taking action.
My dealer has went over board to help me.
Still is crap but the cab tire noise is better but no thanks to Toyota.
Then the door gaskets seep air.
Truck is a fail because of these points.
Nothing to do with the cover I have one as well and it did it before and after the same. You just didn't notice it and seems to be less at times on recirculate.

I haven't noticed any significant decrease in gas mileage. The Snug Top only weighs 180 pounds.

As for the cab vents, I'll check into that - thanks. My cab was very quiet until I installed the camper cover.
