    Step one. Open hood.
    Step two. use hood prop
    Step three. Locate dipstick
    Step four. Pull
    Step five. Wipe dipstick clean and insert
    Step six. Pull again and check oil level

    FWIW, the dipstick pulls right out on my truck. V6. Hope you get the issue resolved, OP. I would be very frustrated. Let us know what the dealer says. I'm interested to know what the issue is.
