Well we can consider it base for comparison. Wow, with the exchange rate thats only 27,500! Sweet. Also.....i just built a truck on toyotas website exactly the same as the one i built 3 years ago. Same exact options except color......the new one is $4,700 more! Wtf. Over 3 years....

I'm guessing it's not too much of a stripper model, a TRD Sport double cab 6mt is only $1000 more than that.

I'm wondering why people don't sleep on the ground? That has always worked for me ... I can understand wanting to be hidden away if you're in Australia and everything wants to kill you, but here in North America where we have tamed the wild what's the big deal?

Yea. Fuck those things and their noses. Always gettin up in your businasty. Where I used to live only had to worry about the little cute black ones. They're tasty, but a bit fatty.

I passed on an inferno double cab TrD OR in Mass (getting shipped in) They also had a BBP on the showroom floor. Bought an auto in BBP instead since they sold the auto inferno on me :argue:

And that's the rub. I'm sitting out MY 2016, but would like to see some intrepid Yankee head north and bag the unicorn.

Yah, as a Canadian dealer our Toyota.ca website allows you to build every available config and then you can ask a dealer if either they have it or need to trade or order one in. Seems weird if the site would only show whats available on the ground as that leads to a lot more inconvenience and unnecessary phone calls. Guess Canada finally got one thing right.

I absolutely love my 6spd. One of the best manuals I've ever driven, and I've driven a LOT. It had been a few years since I had driven one, had an auto tacoma, auto FJ Cruiser, and auto Corolla, and bagged this Unicorn...

This is gonna take some adjustment. They should have left that one detail alone.

The myth that "automatics are superior" killed the manual. And here we are now with practically none to choose from.

Superior at what? Lack of power? Random shifting? Having low fluid? Generating complaints? ;) :duel:

Ordered mine end of October, black 4 door trd off road six speed MT. Just got it 3 days ago. I will say I was questioning getting rid of my 2015 trd sport 6 speed MT. But this 2016 is so much nicer. Very glad I made the decision it's far more refined feels more powerful even though I haven't got on it yet. And wow it shifts so much smoother. I did test drive an automatic 2016 but did not like it. It deff felt a little sluggish. Just my personal opinion though.

For something to be superior, one must have a standard against which to judge. If the standard is reliability, or ease of driver training, or average fuel economy, then the automatic may be superior. If the standard is driving satisfaction or personal control, then the manual may be. It's kind of like trying to convince Americans that books are superior to television.
