I just got my 16 Tacoma this week, lots of new technology, lots of questions comes with it.
If have bluetooth on, i get a text or email but don't open it is it using data? I'm thinking it's like a phone, if either isn't opened its not using data. I have unlimited text so that won't use data.
So many questions. I certainlyappreciate replies. Great forum here, everyone is helpful.

ur phone transmits data VIA blutooth to the head unit, that doesnt use internet data. But whatever gets downloaded to your phone from 3rd party servers like email that will use data.

Thanks, I appreciate your reply. That helps, no one wants to exceed their data.
