So this thread has me leaning towards OME 881's up front and Dakars with an AAL in the rear. Still unsure of shocks but this seems like the best without breaking the bank

I certainly don't have any complaints. The more I measure the more I see that my rear leafs are solely responsible for the inverted rake front to back so if that's a worry I would look at the leafs before ordering. I also see how the dakars will be cheaper but I don't want 3" lift, and I certainly don't want any lift without additional load capacity in the bed. So, looks like general springs for me.

Dakars with an Aal is going to give you major stink bug status with 881s

There are wheelers leafs too. They give no lift of 1.5". And the 8 pack gives 2.25"

The 8 pack or 5 pack would be a great choice.

I'm glad you spoke up. I've poured over as much suspension/lift threads as I can with out going nuts. It's left me pretty confused. What's "stink bug status"?

Sting bug or Rake. The rear will be higher then the front. This is normal as our trucks came with rake from the factory. But only about 1-1.5''. Thats why a 2'' rear lift with a 3'' front will usually merit a flat looking truck. 3'' out back and 3'' up front will be factory rake.

If you do 881s and dakars with the the AAL you'll have about 2''+ of rake once things have settled.

Not yet. Went and bought the stuff today. Picking up tomorrow. I had them mount the shocks and springs with a new HD top hat so I could just slap them in when the time comes. Ordering new LBJ's tomorrow so I can do the entire front end at once.
