Hey everyone. I currently have a 16' Taco and recently installed a dash cam behind the rear-view mirror. I was able to route the power cable nicely along the A-frame, under the front passenger glove box, and then come out and plug into the 12V cigarette lighter.

Question is, is there a way to install another 12V port underneath the glove box? I'm hoping to free up the cigarette lighter and completely hide the cable as I hate seeing it come out from under the glove box to be permanently plugged into the cigarette lighter on the front panel where all the knobs and buttons are. Any guides on how to DIY or even a rough estimate on cost that I can expect to get it done professionally at car audio places? I'm beginning to wonder if this would be too difficult for me to do myself and if I do go get it done, I just wanna get an idea of a fair price for this.

    Thanks!

Why not tap it onto the hot side of the map/dome light switch?

Why don't you run the wire to the fuse box. Find a empty slot. Get the proper amperage fuse and wire up your camera that way?

I ran mine to the fuse box and tapped it off the cigarette lighter
