I wonder if the DCSB (double cab standard bed?) gets priority. I have not picked up on initials yet. See my order in my avatar, I ordered 12/17.

I'm without a clue man. I feel like I've been paying pretty close attention to this on here and I'll be damned if I can see any pattern. It's gotta exist, doesn't it? There has to be some type of specific model/spec/color build schedule to all this. Maybe the emotional ass pounding I'm getting with selling my truck is clouding my ability to see it. Screw it... I just confirmed a trade in number that works for me and saves the hassle of flying out, packing all my new goodies and a weapon onto a plane and then waiting in double digit weather on someone else to drive me 100 miles to my new truck. And what if the sky falls and the deal goes to shit? What then, walk home to Texas? Plus I just got a ETA of 2/17 including transfer and prep so I can begin to relax some. 13 days. That's still less than 2 weeks, right?

Look... I know my story is far from the saddest here and I truly feel for us all. Think of the poor guy in Mexico City who just got the rug pulled out from under him when told Toyota would NOT be delivering his truck AT ALL due to allocation cuts. Now that's a sad, sad story. We should be cool with waiting and suffering fools on Craigslist. Just not tonight after suffering another in a long string of fools.

This is my previous post...Just got a build date of 3/2/16. Honestly a much shorter wait than I was expecting for a manual, non-tech package!

Thank you guys for listing your order dates.
I've been more stressed over selling my 4X2 '93 then anything else. Guy with money in hand has failed to show twice or call, said this last time his phone was broke via a later email, said to call him. Not! I'll just trade it now instead, half the price though, I won't have to worry if the truck breaks later, even though I've listed it's issues. I've had numerous emails thru CL, but will just trade it now.

Duane, I feel your pain! I pulled my ad last night after confirming a trade in value that suits my needs. Now I no longer have to worry about the additional sales tax, packing all my stuff onto a plane, flying to Colorado, waiting for someone to pick me up and hoping that everything goes to plan. If not I'm stuck with no real options.

So damn tired of being low balled, asked if my PreRunner is 4wd, 3rd party buyers, tire kickers with no intention of buying, clueless tools who expect me to deliver out of state at no charge and people who decide they really want a $5000 town beater. Then there's Jamie Aguilera from Scottsdale Pre Owned and Expressway Auto Wholesale who would flag my ad every time I refused his ridiculous offers. That's a class act. In the end it was a month of my time being completely wasted and countless hours of added stress. Never again!

First of all a nice glass of Maker's Mark on the rocks helps. I was told by my dealer that the DCSB's do get priority as that group makes up 70% of Tacoma's sales. Next the majority of Long Beds go to the Access cabs then to the SR5's /LB because they are the majority of the Work truck sales, if you order a JBL that adds to the wait because first priority is given to the Limiteds. Last of all the TRD's get 20% long beds and the OR's at 10% LB's because the % of TRDs and ORs LB's are so low the Assembly plants wait until they have accumulated enough conformed soldl orders of that type to make a production run (usually about 100 units ) before they are scheduled for production and if you through in the JBL to that DCLB TRD or OR that can set the schedule back depending on the demand for Limiteds. Thats what the Sales Mgr told me Wheeuu!!!! I need another Makers!!!!!!

cactuscorn, In the past I've had quick results selling motorcycles or my snowmobile on CL. This truck is different, but really don't need the little extra cash as it is bonus time and income tax refund time. I could try to contact other parties who expressed interest, but if I sell the old beater out of town, it is a two hour ride on my KLR650 to get home, in 30F temps. Just hate hauling a motorcycle around in my truck for long periods of time.
Started my 401k withdrawal for March, so will be a double pay check that month for my last month of working. :)

Thought I was going to have to wait a few months to get the truck I requested but got a call yesterday and it will be at the dealer Tuesday. Not my first toyota truck but my first brand new truck so i'm pretty excited. Almost had to special order it, a metallic gray 4 door TRD off road with a 6 speed manual.

I am not sure what the impact will be on the U/S. assembly plants but the Aichi Steel plant provides the steel used in the 3.5 L engine used in the Lexus GS 350 which is the same motor (just a little d-tuned) used in the 2016 Tacoma's.

Toyota Motor Corp. said it will suspend production at all assembly plants in Japan next week in the wake of a steel factory explosion, interrupting the supply of crucial models including the new Prius hybrid.

All domestic assembly lines will halt Feb. 8 through Feb. 13, Toyota said Monday in a statement. The company counts on Japan for more than 40 percent of vehicle production, including all assembly of the Prius and some Lexus models including the NX crossover.

Toyota’s Japan shutdown springs from the Jan. 8 explosion at Aichi Steel Corp.’s Chita plant, which supplies specialty steel for engine, transmission and chassis components. Just FYI
