I recently purchased a 06 TRD access cab manual. It came from NJ, seemed to have no rust but the dealer failed the frame so I have been driving a 2016 until mine gets the new frame. The seat in the 2016 seems firmer than my 06. Years ago I had a first gen but ended up selling it as it had the most uncomfortable set I have ever sat in. No support in the lumbar region. The 06 is better but still not real good. I asked the parts dept at local dealer what other year seats would fit in my 06. They were clueless. Any suggestions? I would go with newer Tacoma seats, aftermarket seats or seats from other cars. I expect almost anything would be better than 06 factory TRD seats. Thanks

I have the same issue. When I first got my Tacoma I was making a lot of long highway trips and the lack of lumbar support would leave me in agony after a couple hours. When the dealer put me in a loaner for the frame swap I really liked the interior of the '13 but there's no way I'm trading now that I have a brand new frame in my truck. This is really my one complaint with this truck. It's otherwise perfect, but the seats can be unbearable if I'm not sitting with perfect posture. Even then it's very hard to find a comfortable position for long drives.

I have the same problem in my lower back. Would a year 13 seat fit. I wouldn't care how it looked if it made the ride more enjoyable. Tia
