My first mods

I picked up this 2013 trd sport last week, and started to modify her today. Added the grill insert and mounted 4" round Led lights behind it. I also added the 30" light bar. Tomorrow's project is to get them wired up.

Hopefully the wiring goes smoothly, than I can get her all washed up.

I am wiring them separately. The light bar is getting the machine gun switch and the grill lights are spy mode.

 

She is alive.
Everything went smoothly with a few minor hiccups. The spy mode switch isn't working properly so I didn't push it all the way in so I can change it easily when the replacement comes.

 

Any pics of the mounting of the grill lights setup?

I plan to add a mesh grill and some lights this spring.

I will try and snap a pic tomorrow. I just got a steel bar and bolted it down and fabbed up some brackets out of shelf brackets. First attempt.

These were to high so I shortened them up and sprayed them black.

How does single row led bar compared to double row?

 

I would guess it's twice as bright, but I don't have the space for a double row.

 

Now that I finished I want to change something else. I am going to go through my AR 15 spare parts collection and see if I can build one to keep me busy.

It's bright enough for anything I ever see me needing it for.

 

Where did you find the switches?

 

Nice. What mounts did you use for the light bar I have a 20 in double row mounted to a piece of flat stock
