I hope you are kidding when you say "drop the cash" on a new Tacoma? If you have that much money in cash laying around, then you don't need this forum:)

    Anyways, welcome

Welcome. Don't forget the pictures when you get the truck and start to modify it. We love pictures.

Actually, I've been scraping together quite awhile.....I've been driving a 1999 Chevy Cavalier for over 13 years saving the cash for a new Taco. I'm just not interested in making payments. I had enough for a nice used '10 in 2012 but the cost was so close to the cost of new I decided I'd keep saving...and then I reached the point I could have bought a new '15 (barely) but with the '16's coming out, it just didn't seem to make sense. I'm a patient kinda guy :) . Of course, I'll soon be a totally broke guy again too :(

I knew a chick that totaled one of those because there was a bee in it. You going to trade the car in and give the truck the garage space, or park the car outside?

The car will lose its spot in the garage but i cant let it go. We've been through a lot. 208K on the clock, the heater works awesome & so does AC. 30 MPG and even though that car doesnt hold value like a taco (probably lost half of new value in its first 18 months of life), there is no depreciation at this point since it isnt worth anything. No trade value. Ive hit 2 deer with it (look closely u can see fender and roof dents) and it's hauled tons of feed (400# per trip max). Will probably teach kids to drive with it :)

Sounds like a good plan. Any idea on which one you are looking to get?

Double cab long bed offroad with tow.
Fwiw, im running the cavalier at 17 years old and it should have a few years left. Way I figure the truck costs 3x the price and should be a much higher quality machine so I'm hoping to run it 20-25 years...oh well, thats the plan anyway. I'll posts pics as soon as i get the truck!
