    So far my KO2 tires have been great (yes, AZ here), but I do not have a lot of experience with some other brands. I love the KO2... only bad thing in my mind is they throw pebbles and were more than I really wanted to pay. But I'm cheap.

    What size? I ordered mine based on a picture, I've searched google images and some look different, more like an ht tire, but I like the looks of yours. Mine will be in Tuesday, I got the white letters so I hope they look like yours

    Front: 5100's @ 0.85 Rear: 1/2" spacers 265/75r16 on RAY10
    The reason they look different is because the P rated has different sidewall lugs than the LT, and there is another one called "Xtreme size" or something, so three total different sidewall lugs for the same model tire.

    I'm surprised BFG isn't offering the LT265/75R16 in a LRC version in addition to their LRE version. BFG offers the LT265/70R17 in both LRC and LRE, but not the R16.

    Here is a quick weight comparison for the Non-LT and LT versions of the 265/75R16's mentioned. I have to throw the FALKEN in the mix because this tire was just launched this month and offers the combination of the aggressive upper sidewall design in a non-LT version of this discussion tire size.

    TOYO Open Country ATII P265/75R16 114T (41lbs)
    TOYO Open Country ATII LT265/75R16 LRC 112/109T (45lbs)
    BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 Only Offerred in LT LRE
    FALKEN WILDPEAK AT3W 265/75R16 116T (43.9lbs)

    LRE
    TOYO Open Country ATII LT265/75R16 LRE 123/120R (48lbs)
    BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 LT265/75R16 LRE 123R (53.6lbs)

    Although I'm currently running the LRE versions on my 3rd gen for testing purposes, the non-LT version is best suited for most people. The LRE load index at 123 in this size tire is really meant for something like an F-250...overkill for a Tacoma. Hope this information helps.

    Fixed.

    A big reason for the LT is for airing down/off road use, especially with a higher payload... ie, people who like to use their trucks like a truck.

    That may be an added bonus but the main design is for weight carrying ability.

    Well, what about running a C load LT, like the Duratrac? Those are about 8-10lbs lighter than the E load KO2, and would seem to be a good compromise.

    Yeah, I'm not sure why so many KO2 are E... maybe a little overkill. My KO2 are C load. I go back to my theory that BFG believes the higher load range results in better low psi performance off road.

    I love that they are lighter, would rather have C, but I cant stand road noise. The main reason I think I will choose the KO2 is most say they are quieter than the duratracks, I like the looks of both.

    I have a few mods
    I know these aren't the size of Toyos you were looking at, but I just had to share how the Xtreme AT2s look. the regular AT2s are the exact same as the extremes except the beefier looking sidewall and they only start around the 295 size. BUT the Toyo AT2s are freakin amazing, I love mine to death and I plan on sticking with Toyo for awhile. Once these wear down, either get another set or go with the Toyo MTs. The Toyos are well worth it

    I wish they would be make the KO2 in P . E rated for someone that does not go offroad that often is an overkill, not even talking about the hit on MPG
