Walmart came to town and ran the local grocery store out of business. It is the American way you know.

Yea, you have to love a family with more wealth than the bottom 42% of Americans, who refuse to pay their workers a livable wage, but have programs in place to help their employees apply for food stamps and other government supplemental income programs ... Yay ... the American Dream!

Sorry I'm not American, I'm canadian and I'm on a D.I.N.K. income, so I can't relate. Nobody likes Wal-Mart here in B.C. because they are all about screwing the little guy so only crackheads shop there

Park away from everyone and walk to where's needed. Of if you are unlucky and have to venture to stores such as Walmart, park like a jack ass and take up 4 spots. Kept my 07' FJ ding free, 10' sport ding free and so far my 16' ding free. I don't mind being an asshole if it keeps my rigs looking nice.

Do you need to know, or care?
Only place worse is Superstore, those freakin shoppers play pinball with their shopping carts.

Anyway, I digress, I've had stock nerd bars on my last 2 Tacomas, they help a lot but no where near invincible. Saw a post on another thread (don't remember where) of a guy putting on door mouldings. It looked ok. Not really a fan of though.

I've seen people who parked like that and then came out to find out their car got keyed. A buddy of mine with a dualie had that happen, but then again he would try and see how many parking spots he could take up with that huge thing ... I guess the moral is that if you park like that, some people might think you're an asshole, and just fuck with your vehicle because.

I don't mind people taking up 2 (hell even 4 spots) as long as you are WAY away from the store. I usually leave a note on the windshield of the dick that parks like that right up front that reads:

"I hope you don't fuck like you park... You'd never get it in"

Which is why I park a long way away. I generally roll my eyes at people that circle the parking lot waiting for a spot up front. It's "usually" the people that could actually use a nice long walk rather than waddle their fat ass up to the store and jump on the first motorized stroller you can find with a battery still charged.

I find that a lot of other truck drivers are respectful of other guys trucks and don't just go mindlessly swinging doors into them like some careless mini-van drivers. I always try and park next to another truck, especially a Tacoma.

If it comes down to it, mini vans with the sliding doors are some of my favorite cars to park next too lol. But it is generally smart to stay the hell away from any car with a baby seat in the back.

That is a urban legend, in Canada people are to nice to do that, I actually had a lady come up to me and she said very politely " excuse me sir just so you know you took 2 spots" And I told that I know that's why I parked at the back of the lot and she went on her way

Nope. Happens in Hawaii all the time. Park like a dick and your car will get messed up, or worse, you will get into an altercation with a large Polynesian man. Space is a premium here and there is no empty parking stall far away.

If the parking lot is nearly full and I have to park next to someone, I look for a 4 door rather than a 2 door late model car. The doors are shorter on a 4 door and swing out less. Late model because they may be more considerate.:)
