Hopefully it hasn't been asked already. If so, I apologize, but when installing the AAL do the keepers toward the outside of the lower leaves have to be removed?.... And if so, how do you remove them?

Anyone regret putting the single aal in because of making a harsher ride. Not sure if I want the single or the progressive.

So I have the icon aal to install. Those of you that used the overload, did you need to buy new center pins?

Anyone have any experience with the progressive 3 leaf pack by headstrong? How much lift did it provide? Any squeaking? how long would I expect it to hold its form assuming I don't haul heavy loads nor tow

Can anyone confirm removing/reinstalling u-bolts one side at a time works when installing aals on a stock truck? Most instructions tell you to remove both sides and lower the whole axle, but one side at a time seems like it would be easier.

Update: I was able to install One side at a time. Left the ubolts and shock of the opposite side in place

I have a set off a 6 month old leafpack. $10 plus shipping?

Yeah that's how I've done it. I put the truck on jack stands and put the axle in a neutral position with a jack under the diff so there isn't pressure on the leafpacks. Then install AAL one side at a time.

Have to add to the list of thanks for the op. Got mine done yesterday thanks to your write up.

Also, for those wondering. I used the wheelers single aal with the NEW Toyota recall leaf. It fit properly and gave the advertised 2" lift. Rides pretty sweet too!

Wondering if I could pull a leaf from my old pack and add it to my new recall springs to act as an AAL? Have to shorten them a bit but I can't see why it wouldn't work, other than Toyota not giving me back my old springs.
