Looking for some advice here. Lately, I've been obsessing over the look of the front of my truck, namely the grill. I put this grill on within the first month of ownership and now I'm having second thoughts. Is it too ricey? Too plain? I can't decide.

    I'm considering the following options;
-Revert to stock: $100 or so
-Adds some off road lighting behind the grill to make it less plain but I don't really need this.
-TRD Pro Grill: Nice but at least $450 to Hawaii
-Homer Satoshi: Always thought this was nice but $600 plus shipping and still as plain as what I have plus a 2" lip.

Any other ideas? Opinions? Please help with my 1st world problem. Aloha!

I don't think it's "ricey" at all. The plain mesh grills do look a little plain, IMO. Some "TOYOTA" or "TACOMA" lettering added to it could help break it up. Here is a pic of the lettering BPF offers.

Look up Andres on here, and add a custom emblem to the front...

I don't think it looks "ricey" at all. Those big TOYOTA letters would make it look less plain though.

This isn't rice, it looks great! Very understated. Not a fan of big goofy "Toyota" lettering I say leave as is.

Ordered a emblem for a corolla because was smaller than 12 up emblem .When I got it ended up being a flush mount type emblem. Than decided to try it .Had to cut the grillcraft but liked it . Just another Idea. Or trd emblems something to break up the grill ?
Took off grillcraft emblem on grill.

Not ricey to my eyes...at all.

How about the small TOYOTA lettering in the center?

I am seeking orders for my 2012-2015 Satoshi grills. Custom emblems / lettering is an option, as well. Slightly more affordable than similar options, same quality of finished product. Links in signature.

what kind of strange person obsesses over the front end of their truck?? ...

I like the stock grill myself, but at this point, you may as well go all in and get the pro grill.

I have the exact same grill on my truck and don't think it's ricey at all. I've thought of adding little something to break it up and have thought about taking my old blacked out Toyota emblem and mounting it to the grill.

A friend at work keeps wanting me to put one of the block style "T"s on it. http://www.diazfabrication.com/model-t-3/

Maybe add a TRD badge on the bottom right. They also have them in chrome.

I agree with putting some sort of emblem on the grill.

For the non-rice look I think adding the manufacturer's logo BACK to the vehicle is the most effective. I love the solution that @hemitruk posted. You could plastidip it satin silver or leave it chrome to make it more visible.
