Does Sirius end on it's own or do they bill me?

The sound quality on Sirius is abhorrent! You are already paying for phone data use, right? Just use your smartphone and don't be a dummy!

I think it sounds fine. People get a three month free trial, use it or lose it then go the free route. No sense in calling someone a dummy for using what is free.

Yup, mine cancelled on its own.
Still get letters and emails just about every day from them. It's gotten to the point where they even send some mail with nothing on the envelope so that it sparks your curiosity! Once you open it, you see "Sirius"! Then I yell "Kobe!" when aiming for the trash.

I do panic every now and then when switching to AUX and XM plays first, thinking that I'll receive a bill or something. But maybe that's just me overthinking it lol.

I haven't made the move to T-Mobile yet, by the time I do my XM will be expiring so luckily it will be a smooth transition.

    This!!

I bought my truck in April 2015, never signed up for service, yet they're still calling me as of today! I just hang up. So annoying!
BTW, I use bluetooth and iheartradio on my phone, so it's perfect..and free!

Sirius sucks compared to Pandora. I'd much rather pay the $5 for no ads and unlimited skips.

You are right of course. I did not intend to call anyone in particular a dummy. I was just playing off the word smartphone (I'm the dummy now!). As far as the sound quality of Sirius is concerned it really sounds compressed and swishy to me. Like the way internet radio sounded some years back. The better quality services such as Spotify and the like sound far less compressed. And then there are Podcasts, higher bit rate MP3s, and most of us have long forgotten CD collections gathering dust. The HD radio streams from NPR sound fantastic! For me it's not a free vs pay situation. It's a convenience vs quality situation. I like my audio to sound really good and better sources than Sirius are only slightly less convenient and it's okay with me if they cost a little more too.

I'll crank it all the way up to a decent level and see how it sounds. Maybe it's the JBL system that is helping? Do you have the JBL in yours?

That explains why I'm tired of it, I don't pay for cable TV either. Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime combined equal way less than paid programming that I have no control over.

When they call you and you say you don't want to renew they will ask you what type of music you listen to.. Just tell them you listen to Audio books and nothing else.. I have never gotten another phone call from them as it is not something that they offer :)

Wow, not much love for Sirius/XM here! :)

I guess I'm old, but one of the things I like about satellite radio (some stations anyway) is that I don't have a lot of control. I end up finding a lot of great music that I didn't know about before, and there's the pleasant surprise of a totally off the wall yet perfect segue. Stations like the Underground Garage and the Loft are a lot like the glory days of free form FM radio (roughly 1969-1978, for you young'uns :)). I've tried Pandora and Spotify, and for me it's just not as good. The taste, knowledge and creativity of a good DJ trump a computerized algorithm any day.

I paid $30 for six months and used a card that expires before the renewal date. As I spend about 30 hours a week driving if I renew it I'll use a prepaid card after getting the best rate I can.

I told them I was not paying for something I can get for free on the open airwaves. Then she asked what kind of music I listened to. I told her the free kind. My local classic rock station works for me. They can talk to my answering machine from here on out and I deposit all XM mail into my paper shredder unopened. Rock On!
