    Good day, Team

It presents me the opportunity to buy a new set at $ 500 dllrs wheels 255/75 R17 BF Goodrich Km1 . I wonder if they work for sand and dunes. ??? currently use 285 / 70R17 M / T Maxxis Big Horn and are heavy but they are 30% of life and moves well. I have a lift of 2.5 With Blistein 5100 , engine stock (2.7) and (4.11).

Would like to know their experiences or comments, thank you...

I believe wider tires for sand are superior to skinnies.

Personally i wouldn't go with a skinny M/T tire for sand they're just going to dig and get stuck. Those are the stock tires off a Jeep Rubicon.

I have the exact tires on my 1st Gen Tundra. Florida is basically all sand and I've never had a problem. I usually air down to 15#. I even spent a week in a beach house on OBX in the 4x4 only section and never once came close to having a problem.

Obviously the sand near the water was more hard packed but going through the dunes and more inland where the houses are is mostly sugar. I'm a fan of 255's.

thanks for your comments , if they are actually a jeep rubicon , did the analysis in the calculator tires and not much difference with the 285 currently use, in theory benefit me a little.

It is not as skinny as it seems, and if it is essential to lower the air without any doubt. 12-15 psi.
the most part of time i have use my 4x4 its in sand and dunes.. its not ok have problems because a bad choise off tire size..

I think I'll have to try their luck for the price, if they not work, bye sand welcome rocks..!!!

Ya the KM1's only come in 255/75/17s and on Rubicon's stock. Plus they are a load range C which is much nicer to ride on than an E and saves a lot of weight.

I decided to buy tires and liked the results , it feels much lighter than the 285, still I do not use in sand but hopefully this weekend will know the result of my question myself.... the tires look very fine in my truck... next post with pics..!!

I run the exact tire on my '14 regular cab on FJ Cruiser alloys and have nothing but good luck so far in a variety of conditions with the exception of sand, which I haven't been in. I'm sure they'll be fine if you air down some. Rotate them religiously is my biggest word of advice.
