Hello all, I am in the market for a toolbox for my 2013 Tacoma and I wanted to know what fav's you guys have? I looked at the oem one from Toyota and wondered if anyone has any experience with this model as well. Thanks!

I have the OEM one. Really like how it attaches to the bed rails, 3 bolts. Only maintenance is periodically oil the piano hinge and the latch hardware. Expensive but worth it IMO.

I have a UWS and like it. I had to drill new holes in it to mount it in the pre-existing holes in the bed rail, but it's low profile and works well.

I've had a UWS for about a year and like it a lot. Durable and looks good too.

I did some research and got a UWS yesterday. I am happy with it so far, and I got it for $280.00 from a local shop after I asked them to price match Amazon at $34X. The only complaints I found on Amazon were related to shipping damage, and I avoided that by going local.

I have the Toyota big and 2 small. I only have one complaint - the big one isn't keyed the same as the smaller side ones. The sides are the same key for both.

I've since taken out the big and moved the sides forward.

I have a Husky low profile one from Home Depot. Not the best not the worst, but it locks, I can see out the back and holds all my crap so meh:notsure:.
I'd like to try a UWS one though everyone seems to like those. I'm happy with mine though.

Weatherguard toolboxes are the best I've ever owned. Expensive yes, but they're worth every penny. I used and abused mine daily for work and aside from minimal maintenance, the locks and gas springs performed flawlessly and the box itself never leaked. The 12v access was extremely handy as well.

    Can I have your garage?

I had a UWS as well, and IMO they're an excellent alternative to Weatherguard toolboxes.

nothing beats a Weather Guard. There's a reason they are the most expensive box you can buy.

no one who has used multiple boxes can argue quality is head and shoulders above the rest. I've used uws, deezee, on daily on trucks at work, I've owned kobalt and tractor supply gold level.
look online for a used weathergaurd and be done with it.

WeatherGuard is damn good. I've got 2 on my fleet trucks.

The Toyota box is pretty good also. I really like having the two smaller Toyota boxes in my SB truck...it matches the wheel well in the composite bed so I still have a large area for stuff or my dog in the bed. I try not to haul as much stuff as I used to when I had the larger Toyota box across the front.
