Bulletproof responded to my email with regards to the spacers...
" The spacers should only be a 1/16th difference. If the skid plate seems to be uneven you can install a single washer on the passenger side"
These seems fair enough I suppose.

Finally posting this now. Did it not this past weekend, but the weekend before. Installed my BPF skid plate. I have a bull bar on it now, so because I wanted to keep it on, for the time being, my buddy and I had to do some "modification" to it. Basically had to cut into the tube at the bottom to allow the skid plate to fit. We're no experts at this, but whatever, it fits. Choppy cutting skills. Looks like it's touching/rubbing, but it's not. The bull bar is still sturdy and not bending or shaking or anything like that, due to us cutting into it. Maybe one day I'll take it off, when I coat the skid plate with a better liner than the powder coating it came with.

Also put on the tow hook that it came with, since I bought the skid plate when they were doing the discount/deal for it. Now just have to buy the shackle to clip on there.

And finally, a crappy pic of it mounted on, from underneath. Yeah, I know, my photography skills leave a lot to be desired, but I sure as hell wasn't going to lay down on the salted asphalt (due to the snow storm), on my lunch break at work!

Let the :crapstorm: begin for having a bull bar on, and cutting into it.

    Hey everyone,
Sorry for the late response, I just read through this thread right now. I don't come on the forum that often.
My apologies go out to the customers who were in anyway unhappy with their product they received.
We are working hard to perfect our packaging technique so that our products arrive in excellent condition. Those scratches that the OP posted are most likely due to the tow hook rubbing against the skid. We are constantly checking our emails and we do our best to make things right to satisfy our customers. For future reference, we advise anyone with a problem to please email us first so that we can solve any issues promptly. We appreciate our customers and we want to make sure that they are happy.

Matt, I got your PM. I'll message you back when I have a few minutes to type. Thanks for contacting me and addressing the issue. Even though I'm not completely satisfied with the skid, it speaks volumes that you are putting your neck out there to address customer concerns. So thanks. I didn't contact you initially because I didn't see it being necessary, and I didn't think this thread was going to go where it did. It was more of a way for me to show others what I received so that they weren't expecting something else.

    I'll talk to you soon.

Need some opinions. With or without the TRD decal on the skid?

I had one on my 2015 it was chipped and rusted and looked like crap in 6 months. The powdercoating sucked. I had to sand it down and spray it with undercoating Before I traded the truck in on my '16. Paid a little more and bought a rad industries heavy duty aluminium one that goes all the way back to the transfer case and actually protects important stuff. Much better product won't rust and weighs less. I'll never buy a BPF product again the powder coating was a joke I could chip it off with my fingernail live and learn I guess.

I like it with the decal, however, it won't last much with daily driving.

True. Figured I would leave it on until it gets messed up.

    Really liking that logo.

We are constantly trying to better our products! I'll admit it, we did have some problems with our powder coating. We have made a lot of changes. All of our parts are now getting powder coated at an amazing facility, where everything is automated except hanging the parts. They also go though a chemical bath/wash, then to the dryer, then to the automated powder coating guns, and finally to the oven. It is very cool to watch. Here are some pictures of them going though the process.

Hey Matt, thanks for the update. Just wondering when you started to use this powder coating on your recent batches because I got mine not too long ago and wanted to see if mine went through this.

I can tell from the picture yours is one of the new ones. The powder coating has a smother texture now. We made the change near the end of April 2015.

quick question, is the installation as straight forward as lining up the bolts to the holes and bolting on, or are there instructions I should look at? I'm installing this Friday and not sure if I should expect any headaches.

I got mine a couple weeks ago and it was shipped well with no damage. It was a good transaction.

I had it Line-X'd because I was really worried about our salty MN roads. It wasn't cheap so I didn't want it to rust all to hell. The shop installed it for free since they did the spray but they took the original plate off and replaced it with the BPF one. I thought it was fine to install that over the plate that's there already? So I think I have to do a re-install if it ever gets warm out.

Kind of hard to see in this pic.

I installed mine over the stock one, and didn't have any fitment issues, so... two is better than one I'd say!

Hey thanks. I've gotta put the wallet away for a while now! I figured the shop guys didn't realize you could put it over the old one. It was in my truck bed on the way home and I didn't know it. So I heard this terrible scraping sound when I used the brakes the first time and said a few choice words before I found out what it was.
