The Waiting Game...Who's playing?

Congrats, that's a beautiful truck! I went with the blue but it was a tough decision for me, I love the black too. In the end I wanted metallic paint, if they still had black sand pearl I would have been truly torn.

Back on topic: the 2016 is worth the wait my friends. The wait sucks but in the end you will be very happy! Drove mine at night for the first time tonight and the way the interior lights up is beautiful. The only things I miss from my '07 are the lower front hood line, the drivers side grab handle and the drivers side map pocket on the back of the seat. Everything else is an improvement, its so much quieter and refined plus the tech and luxury features are amazing. I love the dual climate control, the 3 way heated seats, the locking tailgate, the Bluetooth stereo with navigation and the sunroof. Like a lot of people, I originally questioned the lack of height adjustable seats but they are definitely raised compared to the previous Gen and I no longer consider it an issue. My wife said tonight "this seat is so comfortable" and she was in the passenger seat with our 9 month old behind her in a rear facing child seat.

 

My dealer called yesterday build date was pushed back from 2-8 and is now scheduled for 2 -15. He mentioned the steel issue and weather possibly causing the delay.

 

Ordered my DCSB OR 4x4 AT quicksand Jan 7. Passed on one exactly built the way I wanted except it had a manual tranny. Still in allocation status. Playing the waiting game.

Thank you guys for posting when you ordered and rubbing in that you received build dates. Good side, the longer this gets pushed out, I'll have enough cash and won't have to float a small loan.

I can't wait! My impatience keeps growing! I'm almost to the point that I'll take any DCSB OR 4x4 in any color. Can't wait so I can partake in some so cal trail run!!!!

Yeah, I was real impressed when I picked it up. Took me a minute to get used to the engine. Seems like a dog, then stomp the gas and she takes right off. I'm impressed with the MT. The gearing is spot on, so much so, that I don't want to put larger tires on. The ride height is decent with plenty of clearance. No off roading yet, but will see some soon.

 

I ordered mine last week. 2016 TRD OR 4x4 DCSB Auto Trans Infreo Orange Black W/Orange interior with the TC and Towing Package..... After reading all This..... Let the Games begin.
I'm not in a hurry to trade in my 2014 MusTang GT Track Package MT6 speed any time soon. But at the same time I am impatient, and do want my truck soon. Can't wait. Week one down with according to you guys, 8 weeks left. Lol.

Update: Just received an email from my salesman this morning; the truck is due in this week at the dealership. I mailed the deposit on 1/22/16, they ordered it on/about 1/26/16, build date was 2/2/16 and if all goes well I should be able to pick it up early next week. I am still shocked it was this fast based upon reading this thread. I ordered a dual cab SB TRD OR in blue with the 6-speed manual trans. The only option I added was the tow package. The only thing I can guess is that this was already planned in production and the dealer grabbed it. The same day mine is due in the dealer is also getting a blue AT DCSB TRD Sport and a blue limited in (I assume both are already sold as well).

 

Sales guy just called. Status just changed to "F" Freight. He said it should be here in 1.5 to 2 weeks. Build date of 2/2. Coming from Texas to Pennsylvania.

 

I have the same build date but no updates as of then. Mine is coming from Mexico though.

 

I have seen a few of us with a 2/2 build date. Seems like no rhyme or reason as to when orders are received, approved, build date and so on. My dealer told me 2 to 3 weeks from the build date to arrival at the dealer so he has been spot on with everything that he has shared with me. Good Luck to everyone waiting on their trucks.

I actually just got an update from my dealership and the truck is in freight. They are thinking between 2/20-2/24
