Same fuel capacity - but later warning?

What amount of fuel are you guys putting in to fill up when the Warning comes up?? (Full = no top ups and first click , V6)

With my 2nd gen I was consistently putting in about 64 L (16.9 gallons) when my light came up. Which roughly translates into 15 L give or take of remaining capacity.
A good number to know for distance to bone dry.

However today (first fill up since delivery) the warning popped up and told me I had roughly 50 Km to empty & I got 68.5 L in. (No top up and first click )

So based on this , it tells me the warning comes on later than the previous gen?? Not big deal- just trying to get idea for accurate distance till empty. Tanks are same size based on specs I've seen.

 

I'm not sure, so I answered that mine runs on unicorn farts. I fill up when I hit 1/4 tank whenever possible, and will most likely never see the low fuel warning light.

 

Takes me a month to go through a tank so I fill or top off when I need to go to Costco. Never ran it down to the warning lamp.

 

I can attest that the truck will run until the miles left disappears and an ominous "Please Refuel" replaces it. I made it about 3 miles after the ominous warning appeared and it took 19.001 gallons to brim the tank.

 

Mine is consistently 18 gallons at the point it tells me 0 miles to empty. It drives me crazy. I have three more Gallons to go so why tell me Im empty?

 

18.18 is my biggest fill so far, moments after being told 0 miles of range remaining.

 

you get around 20-25 miles after it reads "O" please refuel now!

 

well the 2nd gen has a 18gal tank and the 3rd gen has a 21gal tank. so of course it will come on later

 

I consistently have (3) gallons left when the light comes on.

Uh, no. 2nd gens have a 21 gallon tank. Ask me how I know...

where the heck did I get 18 from then ....

oh well not like I drive it as my DD since its the warden's.

 

If I ever happen to be almost exactly at a gas station when the light comes on, it takes *exactly* 60L.

So I answered "Unicorn farts".
