Just a follow up for anyone, whistle is still there. Windshield didn't make a difference in the end, which I expected. It's definitely a door seal in my opinion. It just the way the wind comes across it because it's the only time I hear it when I get that cross wind from left to right.

At 35 to 45 i can hear the whistle that is coming from the lower control arm and the other day on the freeway at 70 mph in a cross wind i had a loud kazoo like noise. With the wind coming from the right passenger side to left driver side the noise was on the left driver side but when i was coming back with the wind coming from the left driver side to the right passenger side the noise was on the right passenger side. It was loud and i could hear it over my stereo. Any one get theirs figured out yet?

I have to tape it up to be 100 percent sure but I am already like 90 percent that's exactly what it is.

Read the solved howling thread, all the info is there. It's the lower control arms that have drain holes that you plug up.

This is a completely different issue.

Yes I know about the control arm holes and my truck does it too but the crosswind noise I described is coming from higher up in the cab like from the upper right and left of the windshield or doors. Hard to pinpoint even though it is really loud it comes and goes. My door seals look ok and I've looked at what others have posted but no luck in finding it.

I think this is a simple case of a door seal being defect but more an issue of design. It's the upper portion of the door, just happens to always be on the drivers side, but I am certain that's just because of where I drive and the wind comes off the lake the same way most days.

Two gen2 trucks that i previously owned experienced the cross wind howl from day one. Dealers were unable to resolve it.
