Ok time for some new guy questions. I am have the 18" wheels on my 2012 Tacoma and I am looking to go down to a 16". ATD Wheels is a supplier through my work so I called them and they do not list any 16" wheels to fit on my rig. He said something about caliper may not clear, he didnt sound to sure on why they didnt list 16's. Anyway, I checked tire rack and they carry all kinds of 16" wheels for it. I know guys are running 16's so I know it wont be an issue.

I am stock suspension right now. I am looking at some 16" wheels to run a 265/75R16 tire. In the future I plan to lift and will maybe step up to a 285/75R16.

Am I crazy for wanting 16's over 17's? Depending on tires size 17"s will probably offer better ground clearance for axles?

These are the wheels I have in mind as of now. These or I have my eyes on some M/T Classic III in black.

The majority of wheels with the "hole" design tend to have caliper clearance issues on our trucks. The design creates a shallow "X" factor(distance between the back of the spoke and the mounting pad) which isn't doesn't always clear our huge calipers. You can run a small spacer to clear, but I highly recommend upgrading to longer studs if you go with this route. The rear shouldn't have any issues. You'd run into the same issue with the MT Classics.

for rims like the Procomp 1069/1079 you might need to shave the caliper casting. i had to do this on my 2006 to fit the 1079 rims, basically use a grinding wheel to shave the outboard face of the caliper until you get enough clearance, the shave was not that much..

well, i really liked my 1079's, they didnt fit at 1st, had to grind the caliper. so, if you want those rims either grind the caliper or have someone do it for you. and duly noted, not every rim that is not listed to fit is a problem rim.

Ikataco- just curious if you broke down the wheels and tires of a Sport to get the wheel weight? I only ask because I just weighed a complete wheel/tire with all but lugs and it came to 65lbs exactly. My truck came with the Toyo's and on their site they state the tire at 36.0 lbs so that puts my wheel at 29lbs.

All Toyota factory 6-lug wheels are 106.1mm. Our hubs are 106mm in diameter.

Anyone know the spare wheel size and offset? Off a 2006 4x4 TRD OR if that matters.

20160104_133534.jpg Just bought this 1999 tacoma with these wheels installed. and I am under the assumption these wheels are the oem 2nd gen " trd offroad wheel"? 16x7, 5.25 backspacing? 32mm offset? I am not sure what year second gen tacoma they came off of? Are they the same throughout the second gen years?

Anyone have a list of the backspacing and offset of the 17 inch Toyota tacoma or tundra wheels. I'll be putting these on a 2003 Tacoma.

Ok guys, I'm interested in purchasing a set of used rims from another user. My question is how will this setup fit on my 08 double cab. I haven't lifted the truck yet and plan to go with the 3" ome lift. Will these rims for the truck properly? I know that is a huge difference in stock rim setup. Are there major concerns? Ride quality issues?

Hey guys, been doing tons of research on what wheel size i need and its all just too confusing for me. lol...
2012 Tacoma TRD DBL cab currently stock
Going to be putting bilstein 5100 3" lift with eibach coils up front and AALs in the rear.
Im confused on back spacing, off set and what will fit with out ribbing the calipers or anything else.
I've been looking at pro comp wheels, specifically:
    http://www.procompusa.com/wheels-pr...1558-1557-2339&pqa=13669-8275-8275-8268-13829
will these fit with no issues? the bolt pattern is correct, I'm just confused on back spacing and off set and what sizes fit or don't.
I want to wrap them in 275,70,16. will that tire fit that rim, and will the rim be fine on the truck.
