Tonight I pulled off the biggest tow job ever! The local Fire Department's Ambulance slid off the road rear first over an embankment during one of our famous snow storms here in upstate NY. I backed my lil' red up to them, got my tow strap out, hooked up and pulled them back onto the road. They continued on to the hospital with their patient. I continue to be impressed by this truck. I do pull a camper (5000 lbs.), but this ambulance, a E-450 Ford weighs over 10,000. I know this is not the place to brag since we all (or most) of us have Tacomas, and know what they will do. I only wish I could have gotten a video or at least a pic, but there was no time to do so. I'm just......kind of......proud of my lil' red.

Not to rain on your parade, but that isn't a tow, that's a recovery.

Towing is when you hitch something up and drive down the street with it.

I was proud too when I pulled a diesel f350 duper duty crew cab out of a ditch where it was high centred. More because the prick didn't think my little Tacoma could pull out his oversized POS. All I did was get a dickhead back on the road - getting an ambulance back in service is something to be proud of. Good work. And a PreRunner too!
