yeah, now I have one that looks like a mom's dildo...

Miss the manual at times. I wish I at least had paddle shifters. It does some shit dumber than the driver.

Better lighting wouldn't hurt, but otherwise I'd say that works.

Pics of the new tires on the FJ or it didn't happen.

I should start a build page but here ya go! 285/70R17 Duratracs on the stock rims. There is some slight rub at full lock. Guessing for now that it is the mudflaps.

Spare fits just fine, plenty of room for the door to open:

Just enough room to open the rear window:

Chris and I have been texting back and forth about the suspension. Think I decided on no lift in the back for now, simply beefing up the control arms and panhard bar in prep for the armor. Front will be Kings or Foxes and adjust them to level out the vehicle.

    It's looking better already, Tom!

I can see why you'd consider a front only lift at this point... that thing does sit quite a bit lower up front.

Are you going to stick with those wheels? I think they look pretty damn good on there.

Hey guys, anyone know of some black take-off tube steps for a 2nd gen DC? I may be picking one up and want to stop door dings and shopping carts until I decide whether or not to get sliders.

    TIA!

Went back and forth about replacing them. After seeing it with the new tires, decided to keep them. Leaves me a grand to spend elsewhere.

Learned plenty from the truck and so I'm rethinking everything I want to do on the FJ and adjusting as I learn things about it. Starting to consider skipping the full armored front bumper and doing a hidden winch instead. The rear will probably still be a plate type bumper but I'd like to have a hidden hitch, gas can and hi-lift mounts.

As for the run, it will be this Saturday. Meet on 550 and 528... At the Home Depot parking lot. 559 has plenty of places to pick up food for the day. Probably about 10 am. I'm sure we will be using 2 way radios over CB's so bring them if you got them. Bring your swim trunks a couple towels and beverage of choice! It takes a bit of a walk but my 3 year old and mother made it no problem... I'll have a big pack and can lug extra stuff for others. It's going to be a great time!!! Love soaking in the hot springs in the middle if a cannon with snow on the ground. Don't worry the water is more than hot to keep you warm.

I've got my 17" pro comp wheels I want to let go. The thin chrome was coming off so they probably need to be blasted and painted. The wheels are good but I think the past owner might have used a cleaner that dissolved the finish. uploadfromtaptalk1455061757992.jpguploadfromtaptalk1455061777103.jpg
