So shipping would be about $150 for one set or $180 for two. Can't decide if I should do 2 sets of the Maxtrax for what will be about $750 or pre-order the Tred Pro which is about $100 less with shipping but have to wait until April....

Why not wait to see what the Tread Pro is like? Plus a few vendors stocked up on the pallet deal from the Kickstarter and might offer to pass on a discount.

Were any of the guys who bought the pallet in Canada? I saw that and thought if you could get 40 some odd people to chip in it would be a good deal.

Wish I had a spare seven grand kicking around so I could just buy a pallet and then sell them once they arrive.

$700 is a lot of mulla, could get a decent winch for that much, or a really good winch for a couple bucks more. As you guys mentioned may we worth the wait for the tred pros. I am all for paying for quality, however the amount of use has to factored in as well.

Thanks for letting us know about the pricing by the way.

Yeah, thats been my thoughts too. Very expensive for the amount of use they will probably see. The winch vs maxtrax by cost is a good call too!

You can still pick up a decent smittybilt winch with synthetic line on Amazon for $600 CAD to your door. Add on a factor 55 thimble and you have a safe and reliable extraction.

Then again, when an old lady puts her Caprice in a snow drift it's a lot easier and safer for your wallet to use the traction aid rather than the winch.

I wouldn't let them drive lol. That's a good way to find your traction aid lodged in the window of a nearby house and your fingers missing lol.

The ease of use and safety is why I wanted the traction Boards. Although you have to know how to use them they for th most part going to be quicker and safer than a winch.

Well, officially cancelling my purchase. I think its going to be TRED Pros when they come out. They are less expensive and willing to offer less expensive shipping.

I just picked up Maxtrax via their website and is shipping through arizona to me in GTA, Ontario. $490 for a pair, mounting pins, and shipping. Expensive yes. Worth it? I think so

Thanks for letting us know the price all in. They are a great tool and it's hard to beat the quality of the product. The price definitely makes it hard to swallow.

Your in Hamilton @Buffdeez ? You should check out the southern Ontario meet and greet thread in my signature if your interested in any meets.
