Alright taco owners, need your help. Ive had an issue occur the other day where when i signal left, my dimmer lights on the dash, shifter and clock flash, as well as my taillights and the light that indicates your headlights are on. When the headlights are turned on, everything works fine. This problem only happens when the headlights are off and signaling left. Has anyone had this problem? Installed a head unit a year ago, but have checked all the wiring and it seems alright.

Strange... Are you running after market accessories? Wire tap? Add a circuit?

Nope all stock. I was doing some searches and found someone had the same issue except it was their right turn signal. Could a flasher relay do something like this?

sounds dumb but check your bulbs...we bought a used car for my step-daughter and the headlights would flash and the daytime running light on the dash would flash...I went and checked the headlights and one of the light assemblies wasnt even connected to the bulb...installed and it went away...

also could be something to do with the turn signal itself too...just throwing out some things Ive seen on older vehicles...

Sounds as if you have a ground issue from a bad ground at a lamp socket or wire somewhere on that side of the circuit or flasher issue get a tester and start testing wires...

On my last truck I spent 3 days chasing a bad ground wire that had rubbed on a piece of metal and would do fucked up things with the dash lights

Are there any grounds fpr this running under the truck? Would trailer wiring affect this? Have a trailer hitch with wiring that was installed a while back

Grounds run all over and yes wiring for towing could do this disconnect the wiring and see if it goes away you need to start eliminating the possibility of everything....

All I can say is get a meter and start checking each circuit to ground and see if any are grounded or take it to a shop that does automotive electrical....If you have voltage it is a bad ground connection or the component in that circuit somewhere.
