This wont seal it completely but you can put this stuff in the jams of the tail gate to tighten up the gaps.

It just depends on your application. The trailer im building will be capable of handling lite duty trails and fire roads and shit but i dont plan on rock crawling with it. Do you find that you set up camp for the weekend and wheel each day or do you camp at a different spot each night? For my application i will be mostly traveling or "overlanding" and i usually stay off of the tight difficult stuff because ultimately i am living out of the vehicle, have a ton of stuff and have to drive it home. Different strokes for different people. Truth be told im not really sure if im going to love the trailer or not. I figured i would build one and use it and if i find that i dont particular care for it then i will sell it or morph it into something else.

I'm at a different spot every night. I tried out overlanding and that's originally where my build was going but after 4 days on the Idaho back country discovery route last summer I couldn't take it anymore. Thankfully that was our last day so now I'm more into crawling. Still drive home and sometimes dd it

 

What do you mean you couldn't take it any more? You wanted to do the obstacles?

 

Haha. If you like breaking stuff, overlanding is not fun.

 

It was just forest service roads. Some were rough some smooth but I wanted to do some obstacles that actually required 4wd. The sights were amazing but got to be monotonous for me

 

no one likes breaking stuff but I need a challenge lol

 

If you enjoy watching others break things then overlanding might be for you hahaha I don't have a problem taking the side routes. More in it for the scenery and the experience I guess. Not as experience of a wheeler as many here.

 

Living in Washington, you are a stone's throw from crazy routes.

 

Like what? We have Liberty, manastash etc.. In central wa but also tillamook national forest in Portland

 

Alaska: McCarthy, Haines, homer etc... You could be in Inuvik nwt in 2 days

 

Uhh more like 4-5 days

Lol I have like 7500. It's only 4 months old. The amount of time wasted talking about throwing rocks in TW could be spent on the road.
