Would've had a perfect one to scan in for this. But I failed to get enough developer into my canister this morning. My fault for trying to develop two rolls of film my first time back in the dark room. :annoyed:

I'll get one in this week though!!

I can never get my film stuff in on time here either. One week just isn't long enough to shoot and process.

    What're ya shooting film wise?

I've gone back to college (benefit of my new job) and got into an "Intro to Black and White photography" class. Haven't shot film since high school. We went out and did a roll of film in class today, 35mm - 400. Worked great, got some awesome photographs, but, I decided to develop a roll I had in my camera from who knows when. Forgot to account for two rolls being in the container when I did the developer.

:annoyed: That's frustrating. I kind of miss the chemical smell of doing photography. I haven't seen a digital camera yet that can mimic the look of film. There's just something special about it.

Fujifilm and the Ricoh GR have a fun grain/look to them that hardens to film. Not even close to the same, but the closest I've seen in digital.

On that note, just bought a GA645 and I'm so stoked! Ha it's been in my shortlist for years!

It's the reason I actually made it through my senior year. Photoscience and Mr. Bowen were both a life saver. The few years after, I could go back after school and mess around in the dark room when ever he was working. Life got in the way, until a few months ago when I got the new job, and they said they'd pay for my college (round 2) and that I could take up to 3 electives. I had to get into the dark room again. And aside from the like butter cup like who has this like pink phone case like that is just like totally like awesome!!! ..... I'm enjoying the class.

I'm shooting an old Minolta my mom gave me back in highschool. I've got two more old rolls I just found to develop, and a fresh roll he gave me today. >_> I feel bad cause I go a little crazy with film. More time in the dark room, the happier I am.

I still have 3 enlargers and a color processor when I get motivated to do it again. All the film tanks, trays and some powdered chemicals that are way past the expiration date. Lol

I loved being in the darkroom. I used to spend every weekend in it. My least favorite to begin with was when they handed me a metal spool to roll the film on in the dark. I was used to using the plastic ones that you just stuck the end of the roll and and twisted to load it. Took me forever to get the metal spool right. Lol

I'd love to set up a dark room in my house (when I buy one..) Not sure I could ever get into color film, there is just something about B&W. I think out of the 15-20 students in my class, there was only one other person who used a metal spool, instructor thought we were nuts.Every one else used the plastic ones. I always struggled with those.

Granted my only problem was to much muscle loading the film, but it was all memory once I got the cap off.

Just a bump/reminder for those who get busy and procrastinate (so, all of us). Bring your camera everywhere!

Little disappointed I didn't get the ones landing in the photo better. But it's an entry.

Here is a photo from one of my camping locations in the Eastern Sierra. You are looking at the first light hitting Mt. Whitney (the highest peak in the lower 48) through the mobius arch in Alabama Hills on a very crisp winter morning.

My first submission in this thread.
Might be kind of a stretch for natural framing.
