There is already a big group from LA headed out that weekend. Why not combine the two and have a big meet?

There is a lot of camping at Fish Creek but that area is for street legal vehicles. We got stopped last year for the BLM cops to check our registration. This was 2 miles into Fish Creek and there were BLM cops manning an impromptu checkpoint.

Hi! I wish I could go with you guys the weekend of the 28th but unfortunately I'm unable to make it as I will be in Yosemite Feb 26-28. I was actually planning on going out to Anza Borrego FEB 13-15, this next weekend, since I have Monday off due to President's day. I was thinking about hitting Fish creek and hiking/4x4 for a day, then driving to the north to Coyote Canyon and 4x4 through to middle or upper willows and then back down for the second day, then driving to Blair Valley and hiking around there before coming back to San Diego. I would probably leave Saturday early morning and return Monday evening. Anyone want to roll with? So far its just me, my wife, and the 2016 4x4 TRD-OR. I'm new to offroading and would definitely feel more comfortable if someone with offroad experience showed me the ropes!

If you ride on the side opposite of the 78 you can get away with unregistered bikes.

Eww, they've totally flattened out the drop-off. It used to be more fun and rutted out the last time I was there when I had my FJ and we went up instead of down.
