I only had it for a day (dealer to home) before I put the lift & tires on so didn't even check.

Hello, can someone help me make a good decision for a leveling kit?

I'm deciding to stay with the 16' stock wheels. BFG KO2 265/75/R16. or maybe a 275/70/r16. I have in mind two different kits, I want the best stock quality ride or even better.

First kit : should be 5100s bilsteins and ome 885 coils set at .85 and on the rear just 5100s. Or set at 1.75 with rear aal or blocks.

Second kit :ToyTec BOSS Front coilover shocks adjustable from 0 to 2" front lift. toytec rear ad a leaf or rear blocks ( can someone tell me which one is better stock ride ad a leaf or blocks? )

    thanks!

I put on the BOSS kit with the AAL and am really pleased with the ride.

Tacoma28. If your not going with any bigger tire than 275/70-16, then the Billies@ .0 w/885's should work fine. I would only replace the rear shocks. IMO

Thanks for the reply, do you have the stock wheels? Any pictures of the truck? With the BOSS you got 3"?

For anyone thinking about 5100s 4 wheel parts has them cheap.

I ended up with the same setup, but will be going with the 12" smoothies in the rear with the BAMF relocation brackets. Anything I need to know prior to doing this lift? Anything you would do different/undo/redo/change? Any hints looking back at it? Feel free to PM me if you want to.

Nice! I'll be interested to see how yours turns out.

Don't try to get around the rubbing issues. Just do the CMC. The UCAs bring the wheels back so it'll be required. That's about it though. Everything else went as planned. Very smooth. I'm pretty happy with mine. Love the look, off road performance and on road ride. MPGs took a hit, but not as bad as I thought they would.

Eventually, I'll end up switching out for the TC +2" LT kit, relocating the shocks in the rear and replacing the leafs with Deavers or Dakars. That's way down the line though. Couldn't bring myself to spend $7000+ all at once. There are some other things I want to get done first (armor, recovery, bumpers, racks, bed cap, etc). From this point out, it'll be a slow build.

I planned to do the CBC regardless, because I will be increasing to 285s. So that part wont bother me. Already have the brackets from BAMF as well. The only issue I seem to notice so far is that the vendors seem unaware that you can use the shock relocation to use the 12" smoothies. But they also could be weary because they want the customer to attain the correct shock and most shocks are non-returnable. Did you end up drilling out the rivets on the Leafs?

I get that. I don't blame them. Yes, I drilled the rivets out. It's not a big deal.

New to the taco scene, still waiting my first to be delivered, but was wondering how likely it was if I lifted it that I would develop the driveline vibrations I've read about. Looking for a 3" lift, likely 5100's with 885's or 887's and a add a leaf. I won't off-road much, some beach driving, but I don't want any shakes

X2. Headstrong has a 3 leak pack. Would this level better than a single AAL?
