    Hey all....
Well, the wife kept leaning on me, and I finally gave in. My 97 4Runner with 334k miles
was traded in on a near new 2015 Tacoma with 12k miles. I have to admit that the
new-car-smell is nice. I'm pretty much overwhelmed by all the electronic navigation/
bluetooth/whistles and bells gadgetry going on....guess I'll have to adapt! The 4Runner
was beyond dependable, still looked good and was super simple to wrench on....I actually
felt guilty leaving her at the dealership on trade-in.

Time to learn about the new stead, get advice from those with experience...and start racking
up miles on the new girl. It's a 4x4 , frig white, TRD Sport. Looking to get a tri-fold bed cover...
something along the lines of an Extang.

The local Toyota dealer had tri-folds on almost all of the 2016's in stock. I was told at this time they are not available as an accessory and only available from the factory.

Any recommendations on tri-folds would be appreciated!

    Welcome!

I've had a couple of Lund tri fold covers and they work ok. The fabric is fine for me and don't need a hard one, easy on and off and doesn't seem to leak. My only complaint is the cover is perfectly straight and the Tacoma bed sides curve a little so I think it looks kinda funny. Not sure if anyone makes one that matches the curve or sits on the inside where the bed is straight. Keeps the snow out and doesn't break the bank so it works for me.

...thanks to all for your hospitality...much appreciated!!!

Still thinking the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 fits my needs. It looks pretty sturdy...only downside is in order to use the entire bed...it will have to come off.
I'm wondering if once it's on...I'd be reluctant to pull it of....for fear of disturbing the sealing surfaces.

well.....spent a couple hours researching covers and went with the Extang 2.0. Simplicity won out in the end. In the rare occasion where
I will need access to the entire bed, it seems easy enough to remove. Light weight and no fancy rail system to install. Have my eye on the TRD Pro rims as the next mod.

Trucks with 12k still have a new car smell? Figured when mine had about 800 miles on it you might be able to smell one of my farts even with the leather
