luckily I never had to use the original jack that came with the truck. and its been 6 years. but that jack seems too small and I am a little worried to use it. Has any one used it? whats the proper way to use it?
does anyone have a different kind of jack than the stock jack?

Its terrible. I used it to help a minivan put his spare on. it works but its slow hard progress. I carry a small floor jack in a tool box in the bed of my truck. Its 100 times better and safer

I have a heavy 3 ton harbor frieght floor jack in my garage that I use. would a 1.5 ton or 2 ton jack be suffiencent enough to lift the truck up? do you also carry any 6 X 2 boards to put under the jack?

I have four 2x4s about 6 inches long in my truck. Great for chalking wheels or adding alittle more lift. And a 2 ton jack is plenty as long as your not trying to lift the whole truck off the great. Should be more than enough to lift the front or back.
