I've recently had a Procomp Nitro 3/1 lifting/leveling kit installed but I had asked for it to evenly be lifted 3" all the way around. I wanted to keep the 1" rear rake the way Toyota designed it to be. I tow a boat and I don't want the bottom to drop too much. The front was almost 1.5" taller in the front and I hated it. Turns out the Prerunner and TRDs have different factory lift when comparing the front to back. They installed a 2" block in the back and now it's just about level(looks good) BUT I don't have the 1" rake that I wanted to preserve. I also had to have a 1/2" carrier bearing drop to eliminate a noise. Now that I've done more research I've learned my front shocks are almost fully extended with the 3" spacer. Hence the stiffer ride. I'm considering having the front spacer replaced with 2 1/4" so I get the rake back and improve the front shock issue. I'm not a hard core off road enthusiast, this is mostly for looks. I occasionally do mild off roading. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

Makes sense to me.. though you could've bought a much more effective lift per your needs than that one.

if you wanted to preserve the ride, you could have gone with Billies/EMU coilover and AAL to get 2" all the way around and preserved the rake and ride. runs around $1200.00 plus install and alignment.

Thanks, I'm considering redoing the whole lift the right way. With better shocks and springs.

If you're towing and doing mild off-roading I'd actually ditch the block lift and go for AAL or a new leaf pack.

Thank you for the input. I'm taking it to 4WheelParts tomorrow to talk about some changes. Considering the Coil/Blistein 5100 Kit.

First step would be to lose the spacer lift.
