I will never understand why people get so upset over a game they didn't play. I enjoy watching football. I'll pick a team and cheer for them but thats the extent of my excitement. I'll never understand when someone says "we did it" because no, you didn't do anything. The players won the game. You sat on your ass eating food in front of a tv.

Its a game and nothing more haha. I understand when players are upset at a loss. That is their loss. They put in the work, dedicated their lives to the game, and blew it. I doubt I will ever understand how wearing a jersey and buying a subscription to ESPN makes someone emotionally invested but if someone could explain it that would be great haha.

Sorry for your loss. I was rooting for Cam.

I wonder if they won, if Cam would have been saying "I'm going to drink a lot of Budweiser tonight".

I wonder how much Peyton got paid for that.. sooo forced! No one likes Budweiser.

Not sure if this is about me but I'm a Panthers fan.

    Fanatic:
a person with an obsessive interest in and enthusiasm for something, especially an activity.

How do these professional athletes get paid? Because fans buy jerseys, game tickets, TV subscriptions. I feel emotionally invested on these players because they play for the team I am a fan of. Doesn't mean you're not a fan. I'm just not like you. It's the way I am, like I'm sure millions of other people around the world are the same way

I took that as his retirement speech. And yes, I bet he got paid by Bud for saying it. Players aren't allowed to talk about beer/drugs (nor are they supposed to use it) while under contract. I think technically he should get fined for that comment but since he is retiring they can't do anything - hence that was his way of saying he was done without actually saying it.

(Josh Gordon got booted from the Browns for getting drunk...and a ton of other things...but drinking was the final straw. I bet he could get us a killer deal on our next Taco though.)

He's got more street cred than I do. I think he's a good guy deep down and I think he's an amazing QB...I also think he's got a lot of growing up to do (in his defense, most folks his age in the league do, too, though)

Why do so many people watch professional sports? Why are so many people passionate about sport teams?

    TLDR:

    1. lack of a pre-destined outcome
    2. we like sports we played as kids
    3. pure spectacle of how good the players are
    4. it's a safe topic to socialize about, unlike politics or religion
    5. betting

Just google 'why do people like sports?' and you'll find tons of articles, science journals, etc. on why people like sports.

To me, it's a pride thing. I don't get into pro football, but I like pro baseball and LOVE college football. For UGA, it's like they're the representative of the school and our state and when they play, it brings members of that community together, with no regard of income, age, religion, etc. When UGA plays, you're a Dawgs fan and that pretty cool. Of course, if you enjoy watching it, it's in our nature to want to "pull" for a team to win and you get wrapped up in it and, if they do win, you share in that victory. Sure, you're not on the field, but it's like you're part of it because you've invested time and effort into cheering for your team. I could go on, but I won't.

That'd be like saying I can't brag about America being the first nation to land on the moon b/c I wasn't on the moon.

Some folks just don't get it, I guess.

Budweiser already said they had nothing to do with that

 exactly I've watched almost every Georgia game since I could walk...of course I'm going to care whether or not they win. We humans, especially us with penises, are competitive in nature.

    Guys...I made a terrible mistake.

I wore boots to work, and I forgot to bring short socks for the gym. I'm not wearing long, black socks. I feel like I'm doing crossfit. Am I a crossfitter now?!

I wear long socks everyday when I workout because I switch from boots to nikes and don't want to change socks, does that make me a crossfitter?

Ok. Thanks guys. I feel better now.

I pulled them up for the pic. I've had them pushed down. But...they do hide the small calves, so I might leave them up

I always push my socks down a little bit, mainly because I have walked/ran on my toes since I was a baby and played soccer since I was 3 so my calves are the size of most people's thighs. Lmao.

But if you have small calves, I feel like leaving your socks down and kinda fluffing your leg hair out would make them look bigger, no? Hahah
