Thanks for the insight and help! Definitely made sense of everything that I'd been reading. Will probably go with amber combo behind the grill, then eventually add the all spot 3D curved up top. Hoping that with an all spot and a dark eyebrow tint on the the windshield, I'll avoid the hood glare problem that some seem to have.

More lightbar/led shots...30inch Phillips 5watt 4D bar do you think a 5watt Cree or Osram 4D or 5D LED bar will give a whiter light? Pics taken with Samsung Galaxy S5

I can get baja design clones that from my testing are the brightest and best beam light I've used.. I'll have to dig up the output pics.. But my supplier just sent me a new catalog with the curved versions in 10w. But I can also get the smaller baja design ones as well that are single row, that's what I run on my truck. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1455221553.137805.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1455221561.355805.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1455221567.559946.jpg

The double row versions can have the amber on the sides or all the way across and the Amber/white can be turned on independently of each other once you get up pat the 27" bar iirc

The ones that look single row are double row size.. (Last pic above the white bar) and yea the Amber/white combo goes down to the 22" bar! I'm probably going to get a 30" for the tundra

Here's one of the pics I was looking for.

The top pic was my TRS ds2's on high beam, hid spot lights and a 30" avec lightbar on the roof. Bottom pic is of a 27" "baja design" alone. Iirc when I tested light output it was around 1/4 mile

They're all single rows, the little short ones are 5w led's and the larger reflector bowled ones with Amber are 10w. Around 2" tall

    This single row?
10w led's and "double row size"

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1455237976.478678.jpg

This one is 5w single row and around 1.25" tall
    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1455238125.902375.jpg

Those are what I run on the Tacoma. Probably run the bigger one on my tundra

Could you possibly share the catalog with us!? I think you can upload that here.. Interested in the options for the evo prime clones. Can only find a couple on eBay now. They're disappearing.. I might want to get more down the road.. If I don't decide to upgrade to the xpr or bd clones that is.. And are you offering them for sale here or how's that gonna work?

I don't know how to post the catalog.. But it's wholesale pricing. I can do a group buy sort of deal if some folks were interested, I have a few already outside of TW. Basically to just save on shipping. Since like most bars they come from China in bulk packaging the shipping on my last order was around $150. I pretty much just split it between all the buyers. Comes out wel if someone gets a 40" or so bar and smaller ones to fit a bunch in one big box. But by all means if some were interested I could set it up to get some sent here

    Holy shitballs!!

I haven't really been a fan of the 4d optics. Especially for roof bars. But decided to pull the trigger on a replacement 20" (valance mounted) of a vision x evo prime clone I have that's 3d. 10 watt leds.. For an upgraded version with 4d optics as well as 15 watt crees! Was wanting a bit more distance, and the vision x 4.5" cannon clones weren't cutting it. And didn't wanna give up my awesome spread of my roof bar. I thought since the 20" in 3d really doesn't add a whole lot of light having my roof bar the same, that it might work out if I change it to a 4d. Well I just got my 4d today and lit her up. And let me tell you... This thing is fucking insane. I cannot believe how much light this 20" puts out. With just 12 leds in a single row, it's pretty damned impressive. 17,100 lumens... But I still gotta swap it out and test drive it, to really see if I like it. But I think I will. As long as I don't have a huge hot spot on the road, which I don't think I will. Judging by the shots I took tonight I think it'll still blend in with my roof bar, as well as all my other lights I'm still working on reinstalling.. Was really hoping I'd get a bit more flood light though.. Its got some flood optics on the outside 2 leds, but it's more like a "spill" of light, and not really flood.. This things still crazy narrow, a little more than I'd like, but meh... I'll try it out. Also getting some yellow/orangish light emitting out to the sides directly below the light. Kinda strange. Guess it's an effect with the 4d optics. Idk.. I think I'm gonna have some insane throw down range now though.

Didn't get to test it long range. That'll have to wait until I get it mounted up, which should be easy as its the same exact design as the other one, with some minor differences in the end caps..

Couple teaser shots. Gonna compile the shots I took and do a comparison later between the two, 3d and 4d. Should provide a really good comparison.

Have to say, this new design from vision x is pretty sexy! Can't wait to test it tonight. This is actually a clone. But same exact housing and optics.
