About two weeks ago, someone ran me off the road on my way home and caused me to wreck my 06 Tacoma. I had to replace the uca, lca, (and I'm assuming the other part is the knuckle or spindle?). But after I got it all together, I went to start it and it will not start with the clutch engaged. I have to push the clutch start cancel button in order to start it. Anyone know what's up?

Please help. I'm thinking a fuse or some sort of sensor

Did you try pulling the clutch back up all the way and the depressing it all the way? Sometimes my truck won't start unless I pull the clutch pedal up with my foot AND THEN depress it all the way and start.

Yes, I've wiggled it and played with it about all day. It's got me completely stumped

Did you check and pull all your fuses? Maybe there's a sensor in or around the clutch pedal that needs replacing. :notsure:

Did you check the clutch pedal switch? The one that is made when the clutch pedal is completely depressed.

    That is the problem.

Haven't checked fuses yet, and I haven't gotten deep enough to look for a sensor. When I wrecked the driver side tire hit my inner fender so hard that it broke some spot welds on the metal skin thing so it almost makes me think it pushed my floorboard up or something, making it impossible for the clutch to engage fully. But it drives and takes off just like normal, so I don't know

Checking the fuses won't take more than 10 minutes max. I'd start there.

It is not a fuse. If it were the clutch start cancel switch wouldn't work either.

Look under the dash at the clutch pedal. There is a switch that gets pressed when the clutch pedal is completely pressed. This switch actuates the start relay which allows you to start the truck. It can be bypassed with the clutch safety bypass switch which you say is working.

Give it a look and you will see what I am talking about.
