Here are the specs of our new wheel:

FN Wheels Model Name: ƒ(x) Pro
    Diameter: 17"
    Width: 8"
    Offset: 0mm
    Backspacing: 4.5"
    Load rating: 955KG (2,100lbs+)
Weight: 23.88lbs (approximate) (vs. 27lbs +/- for the OE wheel)
Certification: JWL-T, VIA, SAE J-2530, DOT approved
Colors: Matte gunmetal*, dark gloss gunmetal, matte black* and matte bronze - *Matte gunmetal available June 2015, matte black currently sold out until July 2015.
Toyota specifics: 106mm hub centric for Toyota hubs, lug holes drilled for 12mm Toyota wheel studs for a snug fit, and center machined to accept flat snap-in OE center cap* (not the raised OE Pro cap). *OEM center cap not included. Plain center cap will be included with the wheels.
Price: $699 + shipping for a set of four.

We sought to answer the demand from 4Runner owners / T4R.org members with this wheel. Many of us feel that the OE wheel missed the ball so to speak with the 7" wheel width. There is no debate as to whether or not a 7" wide wheel falls into the tire manufacturers' approved rim width range for the popular 285/70R17 tire size (it does not). Some will debate whether or not it is still safe, but at the end of the day if it's not in the tire manufacturers' approved specifications you may find your tires wearing prematurely or unevenly, and if so, the tire manufacturer is under no obligation to warranty your tires. This is also not to mention potential safety concerns with pinching a wider tire on too narrow of a wheel.

Consequently, we spent almost a year talking with 4Runner owners about this wheel. We discussed what improvements should made, and then we spent many hours working with our engineering and design time, testing, casting multiple samples, testing again, certifying the wheels, and finally coming up with the wheel you see here.

The specs of the FN Wheels ƒ(x) Pro are perfect for lifted 4Runners with larger tires (especially the super popular 285/70R17 size), but the ƒ(x) Pros will also work great with OEM suspension and OE sized 265/70R17 (or 265/65R17 tires for previous generation 4Runners). The quality of the wheels is consistent with FN Wheels' commitment to offering a premium product in the specs, colors, finishes, etc. that our customers want.

This was so much help! im lifted 2.5f 1.5r with 285/70/17 so apparently my tires will work with these wheels!

    Hi all,

I just ordered my new truck. I don’t take delivery until April 1st since it’s a special order. I turned the wife loose on the sales guy and she fought tooth and nail and got us a great price. It’s a 2016 Toyota Tacoma Off-Road 4x4 Dual Cab, V6 with 6spd manual transmission and every option you can get (luxury, technology and tow); color magnetic gray. The manager brought me in his office to let me know what a strange combination of packages and options I ordered was since his dealership never sells a truck with a stick and has zero projections from Toyota for the coming year. About that time another sales guy knocked on the door and said he had a customer looking for a manual transmission Tacoma and the manager yelled out, “Has the world gone insane!” Hahaha

I told him I've had a manual transmission in my vehicles since 1990 and I am not about to change now if Toyota offers it. I guess he wanted to meet me to make sure I wasn’t some loon. But the Toyota guys were really nice. He said it will definitely be a rare truck in my area since all the dealers only are only delivered "automatic" Off-Roads where I live. What can I say, I want what I want.

Post some pictures, especially the interior with that glorious shifter! How does it shift, like butter or rock crusher?

    Hardcore off road floor mats!
Happy to see another basic SR out there! I ordered the same truck, but without the utility package. Almost got it though... Kinda wish I would had. Just to save a couple extra bucks & it's not like anyone will fit in the back.

How much did you pay for it if you don't mind me asking.
