CAI Question TRD vs Non TRD

I have searched every CAI thread on the forum and cannot find the answer I'm looking for.

Is the air intake on the non TRD models a CAI even though is does not have the sealed CAI box that the TRD models have?

Will a CAI improve performance on a non TRD model taco?

 

There is another debate whether they do a good job cleaning as well. For what it is worth I had one on my first gen and went back to stock. I guess the older I get the more I like the truck being quiet.

 

You can look at urd they have legit cai that the filter is in the grill but if the filter is under the hood you don't get performance just sound

 

I've been looking at the Volant with the scoop. Just wondering if anyone has any input on it.
