Has anyone had any problems with 1.5" wheel spacers on 3rd gen. 4runner? Thinking of adding them but have heard some people have had problems with them.

Not a 3rd gen, but I've been running them for maybe 15k miles, no issues yet.

The biggest issue with spacers is lack of maintenance. You need to check the torque on the lug nuts every 3-5k miles or when you rotate your tires.

They do wear out your wheel bearings faster than stock especially when used with deep offset wheels. Just something to consider as well.

    EDITED.........
I forgot to mention that if you maintain your spacers you will be fine. Kind of the most important part of my comment. LOL. I have run then for years on multiple trucks with no issues.

I haven't had any experience with spacers although my friend recently purchased cheap spacers off Amazon for his tundra and they failed. He hit a pot hole and the front right side went down, causing all the weight to shift to the left side, then it gave out. It could have been installation error, but after hearing that I won't be trying to save money on spacers.

I'm actually selling a set of 1.5" spacers that were specifically on a 3rd gen 4runner:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fs-4-1-5-wheel-spacers.418324/

People always say they're hard on bearings, but they have no different effect than negatively offset aftermarket wheels, which no one ever complains about ruining bearings. If they did, no one would run aftermarket wheels.
