No sense arguing, just lock the door with key from fob... Simple.

Take the key out of the fob and manually lock the door. Make sure the other doors are locked. Of course if you try to unlock the drivers door with the fob close to the door it will unlock.

That is incorrect. One the truck is started it will run and drive until the button is pressed again.

I have the push button. I cant seem to lock door if I leave it running with fob in my pocket or I leave in house ,doesn't seem to relock, the display says no key present or something like that.
I'd like to find a way to warm it up & walk back in with locked door !!!

Why does everyone think the car will die? No it won't. Just think of the liability of that happening. What happens when it dies in the middle of an intersection? or on train tracks?

leave the key fob in the car and take the internal key and lock your doors.

It can be locked manually but you have to leave the fob in the truck. Kind of a PIA. The reasoning behind it makes sense but it seems there would be a way. It's not an unusual request to start and lock a vehicle to "warm up"

You don't have to keep the fob in the truck, (at least you don't for mine), but yes it must be don'e manually

I have push button start. If I forget my key my truck doesn't shut down. It will just give me a warning in the heads up display.
