If you're going to stay with the block the 2" one you took out will work fine if you flip over the cups and change it to the highest setting. As you can probably already tell almost everyone on this site will tell you to ditch the blocks and buy a new leaf pack. I currently have a 1.5" block and my truck sits level.

The springs will be fine. I would worry more about the CV joints, CV boots, and spring perches. If a mechanic installed them incorrectly, you should return to that mechanic and have him correct his mistake.

Op where do you live ? I could fix that for a six pack and life long adoration and worship in about 2 hrs...then you can go a bitch slap your mechanic.

If your springs have flattened out try an AAL instead of blocks in the back they add arch to the springs.

    This.

And you can run a block in the rear. It just amplifies the axle wrap problem that we already have on these trucks - which is very hard on the springs (the same springs that have a TSB for breaking and puncturing gas tanks, BTW)

The right way to do it would be to get an aftermarket leaf pack. An AAL will do, but they notoriously sag due to the inferior quality of the stock springs.

New guy on the forum here......Can someone explain axle "WRAP" I want to give my '15 Tacoma a lift in the back with a 2" block, but i'm reading this thread and wondering if i'm heading down a less than desireable path with this method. I'm picking up my Bilstein 5100's tomorrow for the front and some slightly longer shocks for the rear. Thanks Everyone!

I have 18s on the truck and I am rubbing a little of the wheel well if I go down to a 2 inch block in the rear you think that will alleviate that ?

Front wheel well up in front of the tire,,, I'd really like to get the front end of the truck back up so its level with the three inch block and use my 5100 shocks ?
