New deck for 01' taco - same or more wattage

I want to replace the stock deck in my Tacoma. I won't be adding an amp so I need a deck that can put out the same or more wattage than the stock unit - I recall readinf somewhere that a replacement deck with more watts actually sounds better/is more efficient with the stock speakers.

Anyone know the stock stereo specs?

 

Most after market hu are about 20 watts rms. Around that. You will have more adjustment with after market hu depending on what you get. I'd you aren't replacing the speakers or adding an amp, I wouldn't waste my time.
