Anyone running limb risers??

 

Ordered 2 Plano 36" rifle. Cases to mount on my accessrac... Has anybody used a 5/16 carriage bolt in the extrusion? Instead of the T nut?

 

I've been wanting to figure out a solution for stock bumper setups but I doubt there's a good solution for us

I don't see why you couldn't. I've used 2" square u-bolts cut down to length and they've been the most sturdy IMHO

 

Yep, I think that is the best way to do it. Much easier than fiddling with the tnuts.

So question for you guys, my wife and I are planning on taking a trip down to Page, Arizona for our first kid free vacation since we've been married. She wants to take her grandpa's big canoe, any tips on how to do it with a soft canvas shell?

You could probably raise it up a bit such that it's only supported on the front rack. Check out my pic a few pages ago.

and they were very helpful to keep it stable, and fit on the cross bars

I was looking at that last weekend, all we need is a tab up towards the front of the hood kind of like the ditch light brackets just at the front of the hood. Just not sure I could figure out how to make it strong enough to hold with out bending.

 

Alright so I see the Thule hood loop somebody was using for a tie down up front for a canoe but what kind of thin strap is used so it doesn't impede vision?

 

It was me that has a hood loop for holding down my kayak.

So what kind of strap are you using to that? Or just some rope?

 

Not yet. I was looking at it, but chances are I would want to use cable so that I know it's strong.

 

I saw on the OP they will cut the wind deflector for a 40" bar. Will they do it for a double row, too?

 

They do but a single row looks cleaner IMO
