It's just a good thing my wife's sensitivity to these purchases has been softened by my old FJ. She knew when I got the Tacoma where this was going to lead.

They're kind of pricey. Which ones are you looking at? I'm trying to get a winch this year and might be interested depending which model. (might be out if its the $1k models)

Unless you feel you really need synthetic there is no reason to be close to the $1000 mark.

I've only heard of Comeup within the last year or two and mostly due to this website. You can get a solid Warn or Mile Marker for half the price. I know those brands have been tried and true for generations. I need a winch, but my pockets just aren't that deep.

    Good luck!!!!!

I'm considering a 9.5s or rs, gotta do more research on which on. Does the "S" mean synthetic line?

Probably stands for synthetic the base doesn't say synthetic and almost doubles up the weight from the S and RS which do have synthetic line, the main difference between the 2 (S and RS) seems to be that keyfob remote (RS).

Initial internet research shows the Seal Gen 2 9.5RS to be promising.
I'm considering mounting onto an @ArmorTech Portable Winch Tray that can be front mounted into my @Mobtown Offroad Front Recovery Bar or to my OEM rear tow hitch.
Looking for current Comeup Winch user reviews on this particular winch.
