    Hey everyone, I'm new to Tacoma World and just had a quick question for the towing experts out there. I'm going to be getting a trailer to tow around for work and I won't be loading too much weight on it. I'm just going to be towing stuff for lawn care, so a couple mowers, leaf blower, trimmer, misc tools and then taking clippings and other debris to the dump when I need to, but I want to make sure that I'm as safe as I can be. My question is about my suspension.

    I bought a leveling kit from a guy on craigslist for $50, but I didn't realize at the time that there were only the front spacers in the box and not the blocks for the back to completely level it out. So right now with the front spacers on, the ground to my fender measures 3' 5/8" in the front and 3' 1/4" in the rear, so I'm "leaning" back a little. Is that going to make much of a difference when I end up hooking a trailer up? I talked to the salesman at the trailer yard and he said that I could just shift the load a little to account for it, but it seems safer to me to go ahead and get the blocks for the rear, or an add-a-leaf.

    If it matters, it's a 2005 Tacoma Access cab, with what I'm pretty sure is the factory tow package. Class III/IV hitch, 7 pin wiring, oil cooler, and I'm pretty sure the trans cooler is on there(there's another radiator in front of my main radiator, the one in front is barely a bit smaller). 4.0L V6, 265/75/16 tires

    I would suggest just doing it right and getting the rear lifted just like you wanted

    I also tow a trailer with my 2013 SBDC, I installed a 2000lb Helwig Helper spring in the rear, it is adjustable to lift the rear (level) and when the trailer is on it and the rear sags, you can adjust the helper spring to lift it a little. Hope this helps, go to sdtrucksprings.com, I think they were $125.00

    That salesman sounds like an idiot.

    Go with an AAL, or Ride Rite airbags.

    I would agree that a Ride Rite Airbags would work great as well, if you want to dish out the cash for it, and it will take time to install. The helper spring is cheap and 30 minutes to install.
