I ordered a set of vision soft 8 16x8 black steel wheels from SD wheels. I was lead to believe these would fit my 2014 trd sport. As many of you already know they hit the calipers. My question is can I get away with a quarter inch spacer and some grinding? or should I endeavour to try and return them ( which has been quite painful thus far)

if you really want them then get wheel spacer not the ones that don't have stud to mount the wheels onto. if not return them for another set with the proper backspacing.

Thanks for your response. I was anticipating a response from someone who may have the same wheels and found a way to fit them similar to the way I described previously. Returning the wheels and tires will not be a simple endeavour and may end up costing a lot of money so I would like to further weigh my options with any info available on this wheel. The company offered to send me spacers to remedy their mistake however I don't like the idea of going too much wider. If it wasn't 35 below zero outside I would mount the wheel and take some measurements to ascertain if 1/4 inch spacer would work. If any anyone out there has info or experience with this wheel it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
