3rd Gen Tacoma TRD Pro in Chicago

Looks awesome! I am really digging the grill. May have to order one when the truck is released.

 

I REALLY hated the front of the 2016+, but the new grill front with bottom part of the bumper painted black looks AMAZING!

 

Damn, that's a good looking truck. Tow package is standard equipment. I'm thinking an MSRP of 38-39k? Pro 4Runners can be had for not much more.

 

Any guesses on when the grill part will be available?

 

guessing not until next fall after Trd Pro's hit the dealerships.

 

Or even later. Toyota successfully held the grill back for a few months before the dealers circumvented the system.

Considering that the 2015 Pro managed to turn every 2nd gen thread it touched into a flaming banana, I personally can't wait for the 3rd gen TRD Pro shit show. Subscribed.

 

What with a measly 1" front lift and probably weak springs on the rear? Heated seats maybe. Also I would much prefer BFGs. Those Goodyears have street tread. Add on the fact that I am not a fan of leather nor to I need any of the interior upgrades. While I like power seats and have had them before I am the only driver of mine so I set the seat and forget about it.

 

This is probably the most accurate comment on this thread. I can't wait for the "those aren't REAL FOX COILOVERS BITCHES SO MY 15 YEAR OLD FIRST GEN IS STILL A MUCH LARGER PHANTOM PENIS," followed by "DON'T BITCH BECAUSE YOU CAN'T AFFORD A 50K TRUCK THAT BASICALLY ANY IDIOT COULD FINANCE OVER 8 YEARS IF THEY WANTED TO BLOW THEIR WADS."

Toyota did okay with this truck. Let's be honest, 2.5"-3" of lift wrecks CV's and though it's a bitching height Toyota is not going to raise a stock Tacoma that high. Plus 1" of front lift basically matches the back to the front. The rear leafs are the same as every other truck. If you want them gone, they can go.

Toyota clearly has a contract with Goodyear for the truck and that's the tire they chose. Rarely do you see any worth while tire stock on a truck. The only exception I can even think of is the Fords getting Dynapro's and even those aren't great for really punishing the truck.

 

The stock truck now gets Hitachi shocks. I think this is the beginning of the end for Toyota's tied at the hip trend with Bili.

 

How is it a face palm for people who bought a trd before this? I don't want the pro. I just want the grill.

Had 2 Second gens and currently a 3rd gen with 2.5-3" of lift and am yet to see a CV issue.

Ho Hum.....Mostly aesthetics. I would bet anyone can build their own truck up better for $6000

 

Toyota has been using power seats for well over a decade in lexus and other toyota models. Hopefully they'll have it down by now.
